i’ll show you everything i’ve got,
It was a nice day, at least from what Lee could see through the park. Families walking, couples loving each other with distant gazes and then you had the strangers who were alone like himself. Biting his bottom lip slightly, Lee walked towards a nice patch of shaded grass in the open area of the park where he gladly sat down in attempt to claim the spot to himself, at least for a little while. His heavy body fell back into the grass while his fingers held his phone above his face, he put on music while slipping headphones into his ears to avoid human contact, and the sounds of nature. His sister had just left a few days ago, leaving him with four months rent in hopes that she would be back in time to keep paying but as of now... he didn't know if she would come back.
Their mother was dying and their father was locked away into prison for a few years before running away from his life. Eyes closing slowly, Lee's voice rose from his throat just lightly so he wouldn't disturb anyone seemingly walking by him with his mindless singing. Each word that came from between his lips was foreign in every sense with the exception of a few english words through the song. Sneakered feet twitched to the beat while his fingers tapped along on his chest, but he couldn't keep his eyes closed anymore while the clouds rolled over. Glancing over the sky, his thoughts rolled to his parents and what had happened when him and his sister had left when he was eleven. Neither of them had talked to the pair until a hospital in the heart of Seoul called with the emergency that their mother suffered a stroke and a mild heart attack.
Frowning slightly, one of Lee's arms crossed over his chest while his eyes watched the passing clouds. 'I should find a gig soon,' his mind rolled with the thought of his sister having to stay in Seoul to help their mother get back to being able to live on their own. She was never good at judging how long she'd be gone, but this time she didn't have a chance of coming back. Maybe it was time for Lee to start his own life rather than depending on the person who's been taking care of him pretty much his entire life. Sitting up just slightly, Lee leaned on his knee and let his head bob to the song while his voice continued to sing along. Memorizing the song for later. As of right now, he was rather content with spending the day in the park.
